Planning a trip? Check out the Harrison Bay State Park website.
Designated Tennessee’s first state park in 1937, the efforts of the CCC can still be admired today. Located on the banks of Chickamauga Lake, its name is derived from a bay in the Tennessee River that covers a historic portion of the town of Harrison, as well as several Cherokee villages. The park has long been a scenic destination for campers, golfers, boaters, and hikers who may spot an osprey, bald eagle, or deer.
