Planning a trip? Check out the Bledsoe Creek State Park website.
The park supports an abundance of wildlife and served as hunting grounds for indigenous peoples, including the Cherokee, Chickamauga, Creek, and Shawnee. Nearby Cragfont, Hawthorn Hill, Wyneewood, and Bledsoe's Fort interpret Tennessee's diverse 18th & 19th century history. Today this park draws fishers, hikers, and campers to Old Hickory Lake, a reservoir created by the Corps of Engineers.
