Planning a trip? Check out the Norris Dam State Park website.
The Tennessee Valley Authority began construction of the Norris Dam on the Clinch River in 1933. Today, facilities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps remain in use – including historic cabins. The park’s programs and museum honor the natural and cultural history of the area while the scenic lake and its surrounding acres have become a premier fishing, birding, watersport and hiking destination.
