A Beaux-Arts structure built of native granite overlooks Kennebec River atop Weston Hill among 34 acres of land. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the State House features a copper-clad dome that rises 185-feet tall and is topped with a Lady of Wisdom gold statue. Construction concluded in 1832 and it continues to serve the Governor and State Legislature of the Pine Tree State.
