Often called the "Bourbon Capital of the World," this town houses distilleries like Willett, Heaven Hill, and Bardstown Bourbon Company. It was first settled in 1780 and is Kentucky’s second-oldest city. The first cathedral built west of the Appalachian Mountains is here, as well as a museum dedicated to Oscar Getz’s whiskey collection. Each fall, it proudly hosts the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
