Nature and engineering achievement are on display along this nearly 4-mile-one-way rail trail to the Hoover Dam. Hikers and cyclists pass Lake Mead views, five railroad tunnels, abandoned construction equipment and desert wildlife en route to a tour of the power-generating marvel built in the 1930s to impound Colorado River water.
