Lighthouses stand sentinel atop windswept cliffs in this park named for Captain John Meares' first thwarted voyage to find the Columbia River in the late 1700’s. Popular activities today include reliving the adventures of Lewis and Clark at the Interpretive Center, hiking the various nature trails, launching a boat from Baker Bay or strolling Benson Beach while digging for clams.
While you're here, don't forget to grab our Lewis & Clark Discovery Trail and North Head Lighthouse stamps.
