There are two main ways to reach this huge cave about 750 feet underground: an elevator ride or a walk down a steep 1.25-mile path to the mostly level Big Room Trail, which encircles the fabled chamber. Visitors marvel at stunning geologic formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, in a cave where the ceiling rises 230 feet.
