Not far from Phoenix suburbs are the ruins of ancient communities that once were home to thousands of people. Pueblo la Plata showcases the skills of the stone masons who built the major settlement between 1250 and 1450 CE. Rock imagery displays are among the many archeological treasures found at this site where javelinas, deer, fish and more than 190 bird species are spotted.
