This BLM badlands area in New Mexico is a maze of olive hills, hoodoos, and petrified wood. It sits at 6,200 feet and erodes into pale clay hills capped with sandstone. Late Cretaceous fossils, including dinosaur remains and upright tree stumps, make it valuable to research.
With no marked trails and scarce water, this is one of the Four Corners region’s most remote erosional landscapes.
