Built in 1942 as a Naval Air Station, this field still operates as a joint-use airport with commercial jets sharing the runways with fighter planes. It is one of the rare U.S. commercial airports that also doubles as a federal aviation campus. While officially located in Egg Harbor, this small airfield still offers convenient access to South Jersey’s beaches, boardwalks, and the famed casino strip.
