Founded in 1846 on a former plantation, this Savannah landmark became known for its 100 acres of live oaks, winding lanes, and Victorian monuments. Among its most visited graves is that of six-year-old Gracie Watson, whose image was carved from a photograph in 1890. National fame followed the publication of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which featured the iconic Bird Girl statue.
