At 11,049 feet the tallest peak in the park, this Panamint Mountain summit towers more than 11,300 feet above nearby Badwater Basin, 282 feet below sea level. The seven-mile trail to the top leads hikers through beautiful desert and mountain scenery and stands of bristlecone pines, some of the oldest living things on Earth.
