America’s first National Historic Reserve is located on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound. An active farming community that is mostly privately owned, the Reserve includes Fort Casey, Fort Ebey, and Ebey’s Landing State Parks. Networks of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails offer viewpoints of marine and mountain vistas.
