One of the state’s largest sandstone spans, La Ventana Natural Arch occupies a small canyon in a surreal volcanic realm. Visitors can view the picturesque feature from a parking area or walk a short trail to its base. This rugged landscape where lava once flowed also is home to the Chain of Craters Backcountry Byway and Hole-in-the-Wall.
