This 30-foot, 438 lbs. astronaut is a classic “Muffler Man” statue. His green jumpsuit, domed helmet, and rocket reflect the public’s fascination with space exploration. Built in 1965 as part of an advertising craze for oversized figures, it became one of the most photographed roadside statues in the region. It remains today a beloved symbol of mid-century road culture and Americana.
