This Sonoma County town rests at the heart of three celebrated wine regions. Before wine-country fame, its town square was established in 1857 on the former Southern Pomo village of Ka'le. During Prohibition it earned the nickname "Buckle of the Prune Belt" due to widespread vineyard removal. Today, the area is known for its Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
