This Sonoma Mountain property is where Jack London invested his literary fortune. On the 1,400-acre ranch, he planted 81,000 eucalyptus trees in a doomed timber experiment. His Wolf House then burned in 1913, just before his planned move-in, leaving stone ruins among the redwoods. Today, the park, where London is buried, recalls the grand ambitions of one of America’s great novelists.
