This tiny Alpine principality wedged between Switzerland and Austria is only 62-square-miles. It is one of only two doubly landlocked countries on Earth. The Rhine marks its western border, while Grauspitz rises 8,527 feet above this microstate with no airport, seaport, or standing army. Vaduz Castle, the hillside residence of the reigning prince, reflects a constitutional monarchy active since 1719.
