Home to a river that flows almost entirely atop Lookout Mountain, this preserve is a recreational mecca featuring a stream-carved canyon, whitewater, waterfalls and wildlife. Native Americans and Civil War soldiers built their cookfires at a site where today, visitors tour the scenic road, hike, bike, fish and kayak (experts only).
