On the edge of Phoenix, this park spans 320 acres of harsh desert terrain. It marks the western gateway to the Superstition Wilderness. The popular Siphon Draw Trail leads 2,000 feet up to the Flatiron summit, offering Sonoran Desert views. It’s named after a 19th-century German prospector whose legendary gold mine, despite decades of search attempts, has never been found.
