Between 1863 and 1935, more than 7,000 people from around the globe lived in two Manhattan tenement buildings. Guided tours of recreated homes and businesses in the buildings reveal often emotional stories of immigrants and their assimilation into American life. Visitors also take walking tours of the neighborhood.
