In 1909, Rev. A. D. Williams and Jennie Williams purchased the two-story home at 501 Auburn Avenue in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn Historic District. In 1926, their daughter Alberta married Rev. Martin Luther King, Sr. and he moved into the family home. Their son, Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 and lived there until 1941.
