At an elevation of 6,400 feet, Sunrise offers spectacular vistas of the Cascade Range, Mount Rainier, and Emmons Glacier, and is characterized by its wildflower-speckled meadows, glacially carved lakes, and miles of trails. The Sunrise Road opens seasonally each summer and winds to the highest point that can be reached by vehicle in the park.
