This steel arch in West Virginia’s National Park spans 3,030 feet, making it the nation’s longest single-span arch bridge. It has become an icon of Appalachia. Completed in 1977, it cut a 40-minute drive to less than a minute. Bridge Day brings thousands each October for approved BASE jumps and rappels from 876 feet above the river.
