Founded as the Museum of Non-Objective Painting in 1939, this institution grew from Solomon Guggenheim’s collection and Hilla Rebay’s avant-garde vision. Frank Lloyd Wright’s white spiral opened on Fifth Avenue in 1959, turning the building itself into part of the experience. The impressive collection here traces global art through one of New York’s most recognizable interiors.
