Millions of years of wind and water erosion formed America’s second largest canyon system in the Texas panhandle. Through labor of the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Park opened in 1934 with over 30 miles of trails used today by hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. Lighthouse Trail, a popular, moderate multi-use trail leads 2.8 miles to the famous Lighthouse rock formation.
