Opened in 1967 in Washington Park, this nonprofit is regarded as among the most authentic Japanese gardens outside Japan. Five original designs anchor the walk: Strolling Pond, Tea, Sand and Stone, Flat, and the Natural Garden. Newer expansion brought Cultural Crossing spaces for classes, exhibits, and entry flow. This garden is intended for slow steps and peaceful observation.
