At the edge of the Pacific, a wooden pier marks the symbolic finish line of America’s most mythic highway. An “End of the Trail” shield at the pier’s entrance caps a cross-country passage of roughly 2,400 miles across eight states. This last mile has become a prized ritual of swirling neon, Ferris wheel lights, and salt air celebration. Snap a photo and let the continent finally run out of pavement.
