Each spring, hundreds of thousands of Sandhill Cranes gather along Nebraska’s Platte River, one of the world’s great wildlife spectacles. This 3,000-acre sanctuary protects their vital river habitat, along with Whooping Cranes and other migratory birds. Trails, crane-viewing tours, and hands-on education programs welcome visitors year-round.
