At 10,064 feet, the monument’s Mount San Antonio (Mount Baldy) is the tallest of L.A.’s backyard mountains. In addition to providing the metropolis with water and scenic views, this site is home to hundreds of ancient archeological sites, the iconic Mount Wilson Observatory, abundant wildlife and year-round recreational activities.
