Greater roadrunners are among the many species spotted in a vast, biologically diverse desert wilderness that also is home to three mountain ranges. Huge saguaros and other cacti abound. Offering few visitor facilities, this unique monument was established to protect its historic sites, archeological remnants, wildlife and vegetation.
