Etched into this Visitor Complex monument’s black granite panels are the names of astronauts who gave their lives advancing the exploration of space. Included are the 14 crew members who died in the Challenger and Columbia space shuttle in-flight disasters and three Apollo 1 astronauts killed in a 1967 pre-mission tragedy.
