Built in 1869, the home of Nebraska’s first secretary of state is the oldest remaining building in the capital’s original plat. The restored Italianate-style structure also known as the Nebraska Statehood Memorial is open for tours by appointment, its period furnishings, artifacts and exhibits offering glimpses into early statehood.
