Conceived for the jet age, its soaring main terminal’s cable-suspended roof was designed by architect Eero Saarinen. It still employs unique “mobile lounges” – people movers originally designed to roll passengers right to the aircraft. Named for the Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, this is a modern icon of mid-century flight.
