On old U.S. 66, these iconic concrete-and-steel tipis form a midcentury road-trip time capsule. Owner Chester E. Lewis bought the design rights in 1938 and paid royalties via coin operated radios. Each “wigwam” is still fitted with restored, hand-made hickory furniture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is one of only three surviving Wigwam Villages out of seven built.
