This Renaissance Revival People’s House, home to the Governor and State Legislature, rests on a 14-acre complex of government buildings. Its gold leaf gilded dome is an iconic fixture of the city’s skyline and sits above a rotunda with stained glass and trompe l’oeil paintings on its interior. Artwork throughout this National Historic Landmark depicts the history and culture of the Equality State.
