Completed in 1929, this historic route follows the Virgin River beneath increasingly tight canyon walls. First called the Gateway to the Narrows Trail, it later joined seven other Zion paths on the National Register of Historic Places. Hanging gardens line the cliffs before the trail ends at the river where Zion’s celebrated Narrows begin.
