Thousands of protected acres extend across several counties and 10 distinct units. Hiking trails explore cliff lines, waterfalls, meadows, forests, caves, and historic areas, including the popular Fiery Gizzard Trail punctuated by  60-foot Foster Falls. Designated backcountry campgrounds extend throughout the park, allowing hikers, climbers, birders, and water recreationists to fully immerse in nature.
