The 39th President is the first to hail from Georgia. His father ran a farm in Plains, growing cotton, corn, sugar cane, and peanuts, a farm that Jimmy Carter returned to run in 1953. The Boyhood Farm, restored to its 1930s appearance, joins Plains High School and Plains Depot in this Park designated in 2021 to depict his life and career.
