In this remote, fertile area on Maui’s east coast, trails wind through bamboo forest and honored cultural sites. The popular and easy Kuloa Point Trail leads to the mouth of ‘Ohe’o Gulch and overlooks the Pools of ‘Ohe’o or Seven Sacred Pools. Here a stream descends into a series of waterfalls and tiered pools before reaching the sea.
