Planning a trip? Check out the Redlish Lake website.
Spawning sockeye salmon once swam into the lake from the Pacific Ocean in such numbers that they gave the crystal-clear water a reddish hue and a name. Today, the fish are protected, but the trout and kokanee fishing is first rate, as is the Sawtooth Range scenery. The lake is a favorite for hikers, campers, boaters, paddlers and beach goers.
While you're here, don't forget to grab our Sawtooth National Recreation Area stamp.
