First lit on January 10, 1791, this lighthouse is the oldest in all of Maine. Located on a rocky point of alternating quartzite and dark gray phyllite overlooking Casco Bay and Portland Harbor, the lighthouse was decommissioned and automated in 1992. Today, visitors stroll the cliff side and frequent the seasonal shop and award winning museum.
