It draws comparisons to a similarly named landform in Arizona, but this smaller version is close to a metro area (Las Vegas) and no permit is required. Hikers making the 1.5-mile-round-trip walk are thrilled by an ornately striped, erosion-sculpted sandstone formation found in one of the more colorful parks in the U.S. Southwest.
