Ancestral Puebloans carved hundreds of “rooms” into the walls of Frijoles Canyon during their 400-year residency in the area. The highlight of a visit is walking the 1.2-mile Main Loop Trail and climbing wooden ladders for up-close looks at some of these primitive residences.
