The park preserves ancient Native American pueblo sites, colonial Spanish church ruins, a historic ranch and memories of travel along the Sante Fe Trail. Rangers narrate walking tours of the Glorieta Pass Civil War battlefield, where Union forces turned back a Confederate incursion into New Mexico.
