From 1771 to 1883, the iron plantation on these grounds used the roaring furnace to cast plowshares, cannons, pots, and other goods. The 848-acre park includes a blast furnace, ironmaster’s mansion, and several structures. Summertime living history demonstrations help depict the growth of this American industrial operation.
