This park in the Santa Cruz Mountains takes visitors on a journey through distinct ecological communities and their diverse flora, fauna and scenery. Hiking trails reveal grasslands, woodlands, stream canyons and soaring redwood trees. The Pacific Ocean is viewed at higher elevations. Visitors also camp and spot deer, bats, birds, newts (salamanders) and odd-looking banana slugs.
