The Pioneer’s (aka Pioneer) Cabin tree is fallen but not forgotten. For over a century, visitors walked through the tunnel created by the early owners of the North Grove. They harmed the tree to compete with similar tourist attractions in the 1880s. The Pioneer’s Cabin tree fell on January 8, 2017 after a substantial period of heavy rain and high wind.
