Completed in 1898, North Head was the second lighthouse built on Cape Disappointment due to the high volume of shipwrecks in the “Graveyard of the Pacifc.” A half-mile loop trail leads visitors to this 65-foot-tall structure located in the Northwest’s only intact lighthouse district, where all of the original buildings remain.
